Get a YouTube transcript and summary
Use a supported YouTube video link to request a transcript, a concise summary and follow-up work based on the recording.
Open Video TranscriberTell the assistant what you want from the video
Open Video Transcriber, paste a YouTube watch or Shorts link, and describe the output. You might need a verbatim-style transcript, study notes, a brief summary or an action list.
Transcribe this video, summarize its central argument in five bullets, and separate the speaker's claims from suggested next steps.
Transcript files and concise explanations
The complete transcript is available as a result file when transcription succeeds. Chat can present a shorter explanation and help transform the stored result. Ask for translation explicitly if your desired output language differs from the recording.
Supported sources and limits
Source availability, current recording limits and credits determine whether a job can run. Live streams and whole playlists are not supported as a single recording task. A source that cannot be downloaded may require a file upload instead. Subtitles require timestamp data from the speech provider.
Review and reuse
Check important quotations and figures against the recording. Once the transcript is ready, ask for notes organized by topic, a list of open questions or an outline for a follow-up article.
